How to measure the pleated curtains?

For pleated curtains, the panel width is the width that pleats are already set. 2X-2.3X fabric fullness in default to create pleats and folds.

  • 2x Fullness for pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleat, and goblet style.
  • 2.3x Fullness for triple pleat and triple tailor pleat style.

And panel width is from the left pleat end to the right pleat end, instead of the left curtain side hem to the right curtain side hem.

For pleats are permanently sewn to make, we normally make them in 200-230% fullness. For example, if rod or track length is 100 inches, you may order 2 panels each 50 inches width for pinch pleated, tailor pleated header style. You could also order more width if you prefer more fullness.

The curtain stack width refers to the amount of space that curtains occupy when they are fully drawn or pulled open to one side of the window or doorway. 

USCURTAINS curtain stack width varies for fabrics and headers, normally accounting for 20-30% of your ordered width.

Orders come with different hooks:
Adjustable pin hooks are included for pinch pleat, tailor pleat, triple pleat, triple tailor pleat;
Metal pin hooks are included for goblet pleat, inverted box pleat;

Plastic adjustable pin hooks allow you to adjust curtain length within 3 inches. You still need to purchase rod rings separately.

Pleats pin hooks quantity: 10 pleats for 50" width; 13 pleats for 72" width; 15 pleats for 84" width; 19 pleats for 100" width; 21 pleats for 110" width, 23 pleats for 120" width, 27 for 150" width. The width and space of the pleats may vary slightly depending on your track or pole length.

For pleated header styles, like pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleated box, goblet, and tape pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 56 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.

For pleated header styles, like triple pleat and triple tailor pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 50 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.

160 inches Width; 246 inches Length. Curtains exceeding the maximum size cannot be memory-shaped.

Header styles do not support Memory Training include inverted box pleated, rod pocket, grommet, back tape, flat hooks, 4 in 1, and ripple fold. Since those styles are designed to create and maintain their intended appearance through their construction and method of attachment, memory training is redundant.

Memory training is an essential technique designed to give your curtains the ability to hold their shape and pleats neatly.
