Installation Guide
Drapery Installation
1. Adjustable Pin Hooks for Pinch Pleat Headers
Tools & Materials: measuring tape, level, pencil, ladder, screwdrivers, pleated drapery panels, adjustable pin hooks, drapery rings & rod with rings.
-
Measure & Mark Rod Height: Calculate drop (window height + header depth + desired floor clearance); mark a level line 1½″ above panel length.
-
Install Brackets & Rod: Drill pilot holes; insert anchors if needed; screw brackets, slide rod into place, and secure.
-
Set Pin Hooks: Insert each pin hook into the header tape seam at the top of each pleat; position hooks ~1″–1½″ deep for even fullness.
-
Attach to Rings: Hook pin ends into rod rings; space hooks ~3–4″ apart for proper gathers (2–2.5× fullness).
-
Dress & Steam: Arrange pleats neatly; gently steam or press to eliminate wrinkles.
2. 4‑in‑1 Header Styles
Materials: panels with 4‑in‑1 header tape, metal hook belt (included), optional clip rings, drapery rod rings, back tabs.
-
Hook‑and‑Ring: Insert metal hooks into the third tape pocket; hang on rod rings.
-
Clip‑Ring: Snap clip rings onto header tape above the second pocket; hang on rod.
-
Rod‑Pocket: Feed rod through the 3″ rod pocket at the panel top.
-
Back‑Tab: Slide rod through back tabs for a flat, tailored finish.
3. Hanging Various Pleat Headers
-
Pinch Pleat / Tailor Pleat: Use adjustable pin hooks.
-
French Pleat / Goblet Pleat / Inverted Box Pleat: Insert metal S‑hooks into header eyelets; hang on rod rings.
-
Pinch Pleat with Back Tab: Combine pin hooks at pleats with back‑tab support.
-
Pencil Pleat: Use wave‑fold hooks spaced evenly; hang on rod rings.
4. Ripple Fold Drapery Installation
With Tape‑Buckle Track
Tools & Materials: pre‑loaded track & carriers, tape buckles, brackets & screws, anchors, pencil, level, drill, screwdriver, ladder.
-
Unpack & Inspect: Confirm all components are present (track, carriers, tape buckles, brackets, screws, anchors).
-
Determine Track Height: Add 1½″ to panel length; mark a level line for bracket placement.
-
Install Splice (if needed): Loosen splice screws, butt track ends, then retighten.
-
Bracket Placement: Mark end brackets 3–4″ from track ends; space others ≤24″ apart; drill, anchor, and mount.
-
Attach Track: Loosen bracket plates, seat track, rotate plate 45° to lock; tighten screws.
-
Remove Foam Spacers: Pull tape liners; slide carriers to test movement.
-
Hang Panels: Snap first two snaps to master carriers; insert pre‑snapped pendants; snap last to end cap.
-
Dress “S” Folds: From the master carrier, push fabric back at two carriers, then forward at next two; repeat for 4″‑deep waves.
Install Returns (Optional): Hook a tenter pin to the wall via a small screw; attach panel return hook.
5.Shades Installation
Cordless Roman Shades (Inside Mount)
Tools & Materials: cordless shade, brackets & screws, anchors, drill & screwdriver, pencil & level.
-
Measure & Mark: Verify frame depth ≥¾″; center shade; hold headrail flush; mark bracket holes.
-
Drill & Mount Brackets: Pilot‑drill 1/8″ holes; add anchors if needed; screw in brackets.
-
Attach Headrail: Clip headrail onto brackets until it clicks; confirm level.
-
Test Operation: Raise and lower shade to ensure smooth action.
2. Cordless Roman Shades (Outside Mount)
Follow the Inside Mount steps, but mount brackets to the wall above the frame before clipping on the headrail.
3. Cordless Roman Shades with Wooden Headrail
-
Align & Mark: Position headrail in frame or on wall using pre‑drilled notches; mark screw holes.
-
Drill & Secure: Pilot‑drill into wood and frame; screw brackets to the headrail.
-
Clip & Tighten: Snap headrail into wall/ceiling brackets; secure with wing nuts.
4. Cord‑Lift Roman Shades (Inside & Outside Mount)
-
Bracket & Headrail Installation: Follow the Cordless steps for mounting.
-
Install Cord Cleat: Position cleat at safe height (≥5′); mark, pilot‑drill, and screw to frame; wrap cords neatly when closed.
5. Cord Cleat Installation
- Attach Bead Chain: Loop chain onto cleat prongs at the desired wrap point.
- Secure Cleat: Mark, pilot‑drill, and screw cleat onto frame; maintain recommended height for child safety.
Pro Tip: Always measure twice before drilling, and use a level to keep brackets straight. For child safety, secure all cords with cleats or opt for cordless systems.
